critical idealism

critical idealism
Term sometimes used for the philosophy of Kant, but more particularly for the philosophy of the French philosopher Léon Brunschvicg (1869–1944), which incorporated the historical emphasis of Hegel, viewing history as a ‘progress of consciousness’.
