Strato of Lampsacus
(d. 269 BC)
Head of the Peripatetic school after Theophrastus . He held a limited theory of the void as a kind of porosity in space. He also argued against the universal teleology of the Stoics, although it is not known to what extent he rejected Aristotelian teleological thinking in biology.
